Legends & Lattes follows Viv, a barbarian who retires from adventuring to open a coffee shop in a city that's never heard of coffee. She hires a carpenter named Cal who ends up naming the place, a succubus called Tandri who learns the coffee side of things, and a rattkin baker named Thimble whose cinnamon rolls become half the reason people show up. A bard called Pendry wanders in one day to play music and never really leaves. Together they try to build something that lasts. An orc trying to make a decent latte, and nobody's trying to end the world for once.
It popularised the term "cozy fantasy" and became a New York Times bestseller. The sequel, Bookshops & Bonedust, is a prequel set years earlier.
